Chula Vista Marine Swap Meet, by San Diego - 2017

While at the Chula Vista Marine Swap Meet we met long time friend "Rodney"!

Beginning of October 2017 - Tied up in Marina Mazatlán, Mexico
We are currently house sitting in Pacific Beach, San Diego CA

Once again it was time for the Chula Vista Marine Swap Meet which we have not been to in about five years...mostly because we were in Mexico.

The hose is so we can test the foot pump for leaks. I have fixed the peddle as the pin was coming out and it was only on by one end of the pin. We need to keep the pump dry while testing to find any leak. The hose will do that and finding 1\2 hose, at say Home Depot, did not work. This swap meet hose for $1.00 will do the trick and we will have spare hose left over!
We are about to install a 4" blue LED light on the bow under the anchor roller and on the stern in the SS vent. These will help show the boat at night at anchor so a panga does not slam into us. The anchor light is not seen because the pangas are not looking at the sky when zipping along. The two pieces of 16 gauge wire were $1.00 a piece.  Of course, we need to get back to Mexico first.
The marine fuses are weather proof and even have different size blade fuses in them.  At 50 cents a piece we bought 6 of them. We like to fuse things. What a deal!

We are going to use the 3 way valve in the waste system and we got that and a new white\red LED dome light for a few dollars with the webbing thrown in.

The bags were a dollar a piece and on and on with other items.
I did make a $7.00 mistake with a 3\4 valve. I thought it was bronze and it is brass so it will not work for us. Otherwise we did excellent!
Our spare dive regulator was the star of the day. Our old dive regulator we brought back to the US with us as it was leaking some water in through the exhaust valve. It was getting annoying while cleaning the bottom. There are no parts for it but we got it re-built for $25.00 and will still use it. Now we have a spare, a US Divers that looks like new. Or possibly I will use it and have the other as the spare. Anyway, a good deal at $20.00. In fact we will sell the stage one part in Mexico and could even make some bucks on it!
We picked up this 7' 6" Trident sanitation hose at $0.050 cents a foot for our spare waste system hose.
Also this fan we picked up for the boat s\v Elegant'sea for moving around the the air for the AC and or to just keep comfortable. We bargained to $7,50, it is a swap meet after all. 😏
And yet some other parts checked off the US buy list for the next cruising season.
